This studio was developed around the Evolo contest. The studio was directed towards working in partners and evolving a concept, program, site and tectonic language that illustrated the process of the semester. Through collages exploring the idea of globalization, a concept of duality formed and drove the rest of the design process. Dhaka, Bangladesh was choosen as our sie because it was the physical manifestation of our concept. Our program began to develop from the needs of the site. Dhaka is the fastest growing city in the world and is flooded once a year, so in return our program would become refugee housing interated with a water filtration system and a free health clinic.
