Design Build Studio: space for behavioral exhibit

This project was enter into the ART IN ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION, hosted by the SOMERSET ART ASSOCIATION and we received an honorable mentioned.

We as a studio defined a space for behavioral exhibit to mean an area where people are free to be themselves and do as they please. This structure was constructed as our spring studio project in 2010. It was constructed in the courtyard of Lee Hall which is the building for architectural studies at Clemson University. After multiple smaller iterations which demonstrated the structural soundness of the space we began to construct the full scale exhibit. We choose to use standard lumber to cut down on costs and then left it with the natural wood color to express its true natural beauty.
