The Chicago Architectual Club hosted the 2010 Chicago Prize Competition: MINE THE GAP. The urban ARK redefines the skyscraper within the city. The new archetype pools Resources for an example of a living Agricultural Ko-op. The modern tradition of Chicago expands beyond Burnham, Sullivan, and Wright into the 21st century as the wide shoulders of the midwest introduce our largest untapped resource. This resource will now have an architectural impact. The urban ARK presents the love affair of water and sky within the prairie city as a building type with cycles and seasons.
