Located in the most ethnically diverse borough in NYC, Corona and Elmhurst are neighborhoods that are prime examples of why NYC is deemed the melting pot of the nation. However, considering they have all of the right ingredients in fostering a very rich street culture, most activity occurs behind closed doors and it’s due to the lack of public/green space within the neighborhood.

My project intends to reclaim a variety of vacant and underutilized spaces throughout the neighborhood and to propose ideas of how to re-imagine/ repurpose it for the public realm.
