New Hope Interfaith Center

New Hope Interfaith is an Interfaith Center with an Iraqi Refugee Placement Program, located outside of Detroit.  The concept was to have a program that would help incoming refugees with their transition to the U.S.  The center would also encompass ways to help bridge the gap between the citizens and refugees.  The center would include programs for the refugees such as:  job and school placement, driving courses, tutors, language classes, ect.  The center would also be a temporary residence for about 30 refugees at a time until they completed the program (usually a 6 months duration).  The Center would also allow a main room to sponsor events within the community and help citizens learn more about the Iraqi Culture and vice versa.
