Gastronomía....como escape de la rutina homogenizada.

My Final Capstone Design Project for my BArch.

I analysed and researched the importance of food in urban activity. By stating that it helps provide an interactive space and break with homogeneous routines by its diversity and variety.

By using gastronomy terminology (raw, medium and well done) as key concepts for my whole project: selection of place, program design, the way the space would be organized and in the end the whole architectural aspect both in its exterior and interior.

The program consisted of:

Variety of Urban restaurants, from kiosks, cafes, markets and fine dinning complemented vice versa by a culinary arts school in which the students would use the diferent restaurants as practice in order to reach advancement and eventually work their final year at the fine dinning restaurant. This helps to break with the routine by providing a changing menu for the clients as the students progress and move. The architecture for each of the restaurants would represent the terminology in which its located, sort of like a changing skin from simplest to most complex.
