The height restrictions proposed in the North Point master plan threatened to homogenize the skyline and stifle community interaction.  The solution calls for an overhaul of “Block D” of the master plan.

The goal of the redesign is to create an area of population density and diverse programmatic uses, while also providing a waypoint for North Point and its neighboring regions.  This is accomplished with the design of a mixed-use tower.  The North Point Tower offers open space, retail shopping, office space, as well as residential units on the upper levels.

The North Point Tower is designed in direct response to the site.  The sun’s movement, predominant wind directions, and views are all taken into account.
