Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA - Currently within Plan Check Scheduled Completion April 2012

Lead Designer for a 9,100sqft ($2.8million) rehabilitation of a California Landmarked Building. I am tasked with managing the design, development and production of an Italian restaurant. The existing Landmarked Building is located on the Historical Santa Monica Pier. The project will sensitively merge modern context with an existing vintage hallmark. The finished building shall be the only location on the Santa Monica Pier to provide a rooftop lounge for dining and spirits. The project is under plan check review by the city of Santa Monica.

ARCHITECTURAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Consultation:
Meetings w/ client for initial consultation.
Determination of client's needs/desires;discussion of budgets, schedules and expectations.
Restaurant Planning/Design:
Collaboration w/ david forbes hibbert in early concept design.
Political negotiations with relevant commission and board members for early and coherent
design input.
Drawing Development:
Management of Autodesk Revit drawing development
Management of permit acquisition
Bidding Management:
Co-management of contractor bid management and final selection of general contractor
Construction Administration:
Lead DFH contact for construction administration
i.e. RFI's, field complexities & field revisions
