Displaced Occupations

Displaced Occupations proposes a design of the US pavilion at the Venice Biennale as a collage of spaces, geographies, and identities. Specifically, the project uses techniques of carving and wireframe to imprint and extract the Villa Rotonda and Monticello within the US pavilion. These techniques aim to express the complexity of identities and territories involved in the single space of the pavilion as it encompasses cultural and institutional occupations and appropriations.
