The idea behind the art gallery was to design a gallery with workshop, office space and residences included. The site is in downtown Blacksburg and includes the renova- tion of an old 1930’s bank building. The art galleries and offices are interspersed throughout the building while the workshop spaces are located in the rear. The three loft-like residences are suspended in a rectangular structure that cantilevers above the bank building and the new art galleries.
