Undergraduate 2nd Year project
Tea and dance hall focusing on human interaction and conversation spaces, highlighting the different levels of interaction from sitting, standing, moving and how each action creates a certain level of conversation.
Another element included within the project was the concept of Social Gravity. Humans being social creatures means we require and need certain levels of interaction with others. Being individuals comprised of different experiences and knowledge this tea and dance hall was created as a HUB for both older and younger generations to interact with one another and an interchange of experience and knowledge to broaden horizons.
This project subsequently inspired me to enter a conceptual design based loosely around the social gravity concept for a RIBA competition.
