In the small town of Skaneateles, NY, a masonic temple once existed.  However, the freemasons that lived there moved away and the building is no longer used for freemasonry. Now, the freemasons are back and want a new building to practice their freemasonry culture.

In conceptualizing the new lodge, a series of models were produced.  The modeling process enables me to think about how building parts come together, how materiality impacts the design, and the importance of craft and detailing.
