Motel 7001 is a small hotel intended to cater to discerning travelers seeking upscale yet affordable accommodations. The intent is to take the well known courtyard and pool motel typology and intensify its basic constituent elements to create a lodging experience distinct from larger and more expensive luxury and ‘boutique’ brands. Food and beverage revenue is key to the project’s financial success; as such, lounges are the focus of the public spaces. There is only a small kitchen planned, so food will be provided principally through catering services. The facility has 96 standard hotel rooms, three suites, meeting space, and a gym.
