I was part of the steel building team for the largest tour to hit North America.  By the end of the summer, I was a trained rigger.  One of the worst load-ins was in D.C. when I was on the top of one of the towers pulling the tension wire for the last arm, so we could release the crane - when lightning struck overhead.  Talk about a soul check.
