About

My name is Justin Vaughn and I am a Project Manager working for Johnson & Galyon Construction.   It is my goal and ambition to stay abreast of current trends to continue learning and practicing the key elements of design and construction to enhance my ability to create a positive atmosphere for those utilizing the space. My aspiration to continue my career as a Project Manager is motivated by my desire to give back to the ever changing community and environment from which I came.

Being versatile, detailed oriented, and a quick learner are some of my strengths that I found to be beneficial skills to assist with everyday activities and in my career. Through my experience as a graduate of Architecture and current career as Project Manager, I am a natural leader who also understands how to manage difficult tasks from strategic planning in the predesign phase to the completion of a project. I have also learned how to cooperate with others and design on various levels while working in a very fast paced environment. I always strive to be well versed in the entire process of design and the effort it takes to make those ideas, sketches, and contract documents on paper or in the computer come to fruition. I have gained invaluable years of experience in the field in order to obtain a broader perspective of issues that arise throughout construction. I also had the opportunity of gaining experience through project management for Superior Construction. I presented community development projects at the National Leadership Conference, designed co-housing communities for NetZero and Solar Decathlon competitions, and performed duties of an event coordinator for the National Organization of Minority Architects. I am also proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office, hand drafting, and 3-D modeling by hand or computer.
