As a 2011 Master of Architecture graduate from the Faculty of Environmental Design (University of Calgary), I have cultivated my graphic skills, technical knowledge, and ability to think critically and creatively. My Master’s Degree Project (Thesis), Bighorn Ridge Winery, was focused on the experiential design of a winery resort in the Okanagan Valley. Through the design of the resort, I developed a keen interest and knowledge in placemaking and cultivating authentic experiences of locale through architecture and site design. I have a strong interest in sustainability, landscape architecture and experiential design.
Urban Planning and Design
My professional experience at the Victoria Park BRZ as an Urban Planning and Development Coordinator has fueled an interest in sustainable approaches to community revitalization and development. My work with the BRZ has included beautification projects, the design and construction of a community park space, and the production of a 151 page master plan for the area. My experience at the BRZ has developed and interest in placemaking and community based planning and design initiatives.
