2013 Thorpe Memorial Scholarship, 1st Place

"In memory of Charles S. Thorp by Robert E. Fenza ('80 B.Ph. Inter-College) and friends to recognize undergraduate students majoring in either Architecture or Landscape Architecture in the College of Arts and Architecture at The Pennsylvania State University that demonstrates an exceptional interest in both departments by actively enrolling in classes in both majors beyond the respective requirements of each curriculum, and by participating in other joint programs and competitions.

"This award was established by Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture, to recognize students who exemplify the objectives of the College with respect to enhancement of the arts. Consideration for this award shall be given to all students (preferably seniors) of the College of Arts and Architecture who have proven themselves over an extended period of time."

Received Honorable mention for performance in Fifth Year Architectural Design Studio.

111th Annual Stewardson Award, University Level Nomination, 1st Place

Students will participate in a ten-day, statewide design competition, the dates to be announced. An internal jury within the Department of Architecture will select a limited number of fifth-year entries to be forwarded for final review at the state level. One winning project is awarded $6,500. The winner will pursue the study of architecture in a foreign country as approved by the managing committee, and is required to begin within one year of the award.

Kossman Fifth Year Thesis Jury: Runner up, 1st Place

A “second-best” thesis design project is selected to be awarded the prize money in the event that the primary recipient cannot travel within one year of the selection date. Honorable Mentions are awarded to an indefinite number of projects at the discretion of the invited panel.

2011 Golumbic Award for Design Excellence, Department Level Nomination, 1st Place

"Established by Ed Eckl for scholarship awards to students who can prove their potential for significant contribution to the arts and humanities. Students must have at least a fourth semester standing. The students must possess qualities and have contributed to efforts that are considered outstanding as measured by the department. A total dedication to continued involvement in the arts and humanities is a prerequisite."

"This was provided by the Corbelletti Memorial Contributions in memory of Raniero Corbelletti, Architecture Department Head, 1968-1988. The purpose of this award is to award second through fifth year students of the Department of Architecture who participate in the design competition."
