About 

I am a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture, with a BArch with Honors, and a Minor in the history of architecture. In addition, I have studied a full year abroad in Switzerland at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. 

I have won two design competitions while at school, once intramural, one sponsored by BLT Architects of Philadelphia.

Employment 

Anderson Studio of Architecture and Design, Charleston, SC, US, Intern Architect

Contributed to the production of four construction document sets. Two new homes (~6,000 and ~8,000 sqft), a two renovations (~7,000 and ~3,000 sqft), and one house which never made it to permit. Drawings produced included floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, exterior details, stair drawings, interior elevations, power & switching plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior trim details, cabinetry drawings, and built in furniture details.

Organized drawing sets for publication & printing, coordinated working drawings, revisions, and construction sketches into living sets. Managed and archived digital files and records.

Researched building products (fire-boxes, interior trim profiles, glass railing systems, reflective skylights, etc.), and integrated supplier information into drawing sets.

Aided the principal and project managers in producing schematic documents for clients and for local authorities. Produced promotional renders for project to be put on the rental market.

Managed the office plotter and assisted in its installation.

I have studied the history of architecture, statics, building systems, urban design, drawing, project development, real estate, facade design, green practices, real estate, structures, biology inspired design, and construction.

From 2011 to 2012, I was an exchange student with the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, and spent the academic year as a French speaker.

I was employed by my department both as a summer maintenance worker, and as an assistant to the supervisor of CMU School of Architecture computing.

BLT Architects Student Design Competition, 2nd Place

Second place in a regional competition fof the revitalization of a vacant block in a struggling neighborhood in North Philadelphia.

EPIC Metals Design Competition, 1st Place

Annual design competition for 3rd year CMU students sponsored by the EPIC Metals Decking Company. The prompt varies by year, when I won the competition for for a foot bridge over Forbes Avenue adjacent to CMU's campus.
