Sananda Mukherjee is an alumnus of the Department of Architecture at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, who graduated with a B.Arch degree in 2010. She is currently pursuing her masters in Building Science at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Prior to this she has worked as an Assistant Architect in P.Mitra- Architects. Engineers. Planners., a renowned architectural firm in Kolkata (India), under Ar. Prabir Mitra. She has also worked at Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Engineering, Construction and Contracts (ECC) division, in the Engineering Design Research Center (EDRC) at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, as a part of her Architectural Training. Her interests lie in Sustainable Design, High Performance buildings and Building Energy studies. She recently finished working on her Graduate thesis at USC which is on 'A Parametric Study of the Thermal Performance of Green Roofs in Different Climates through Energy Modeling' and is now actively seeking a full time position at a firm that is committed to work towards a sustainable built environment through pragmatic design and practice and delivers the highest level of innovation in the sustainable arena.
She's a person with 3 best friends-music, nature and peace. She loves to travel and interact with people from diversified backgrounds and is specially fond of animals. 'Creati-witty' is the word her friends brand her with...and this has rightfully brought her into the world of Architecture.
