About

Alexandre Piacsek is a Hungarian-Brazilian architect born in 1968. He attended the College of Architecture and Urban Studies of the University of Sao Paulo and studied architectural design under Paulo Mendes da Rocha. Since graduation in 1995 his work has been chiefly in the residential field and in housing. He established private practice in 2006 to work as consultant to developers, and moved to London in 2012.

Alexandre Piacsek strives to create a fusion between Modernism and experimental design, and a new and progressive architectural style. An expert in 3D modelling with a background in visual arts, his works were recently featured at KooZA/rch, A visionary platform of Architecture, under the article “House Design: A Laboratory for alternative ideas”.

“I am of the opinion that any innovative project must be grounded in efficiency and functionality, but the architect must strive to create an exciting and dramatic living environment, where the client can thrive. Overall, the design must prioritize human experience, will have expressive shapes, but the plan will be derived from a response to function. The finest project is always the purest expression of Art and technology.” Alexandre Piacsek
