I am fascinated with so many things that it's hard to just call myself a designer. I'm currently a ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop dance instructor, a freelance choreographer, an English tutor for Korean students, and a part time retail sales associate. These are all the jobs I acquired (and keep to this day as I look for work) during the span of my post-professional graduate academic career, which I recently completed in December 2012. I have a bachelor of architecture and interior architecture from Auburn University and a master of interior design from The University of Texas at Austin. I have soaked up untold amounts of valuable experience working for a size medium architecture firm between undergrad and grad and an award winning residential interior design firm during grad school.

But I have to say that my strengths come from the fact I've always done about 10 different things at once. I have almost always had at least two jobs while in school, made time to be in dance companies, and volunteered with my church all at the same time. I can't say no to what peaks my interest, and I'm interested in a plethora of things: dance, choreography, teaching pedagogy, history, other cultures, language, fashion, architecture, art, music, interior design, furniture design, product design, film, literature, theater, sports, science, ethics, psychology, food, poetry, philosophy, and many other subcategories of these things... 

My favorite professor from undergrad always told me my design concepts were so "thoughtful". I'm not sure if it makes me a good designer, but I definitely think a lot. A lot. I have so. many. thoughts. Maybe it's why I aspire to be a writer. I have so many interests and so many thoughts that they surely must bleed out of my fingers onto a screen. Keeping them all in makes me extremely bloated...
