About

Catie is now a licensed Architect in the state of Illinois. Currently, she is an Associate Architect at Booth Hansen in Chicago.

She graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology with a dual-concentration in Civil & Construction Engineering. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she participated in the cooperative education program which enables students to work in their field of study. The program exposed her to nearly 3-years of professional, hands-on experience in Construction, Development and Architecture. She worked for Turner Construction as a Field Engineer where she worked on-site with the Construction Manager in the coordination of several Cincinnati Public School projects. Her interests in residential development led her to work for Wayne Homes where she worked as a Field Engineer in the construction phase of multiple custom homes. In her third year in the program, she had the opportunity to work on the large-scale development of luxury resorts with Ginn Development International in Orlando, Florida. In her junior year, she worked for one of the top architecture firms in Cincinnati: GBBN Architects where she was joined the China Project Team followed by an array of projects including the Cincinnati Music Hall. In her last year, she worked for Rick Swisher Architect where she was a Project Designer on various projects in Orlando. She worked at RSA during her fifth and final year at Cincinnati until she started graduate school in the Fall in pursuit of her Masters degree in Architecture.

In 2013, she graduated with her Masters in Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Throughout school, she was a research assistant on various projects involving issues in Urban Planning and Architecture. She had the opportunity to join a design team, led by esteemed architecture faculty and fellow students in the conceptual design of a recreational center which received the AIA Michigan Unbuilt Project Award in 2013 and is currently in design development and set to construct in the next year.

Catie has recently completed a home remodel project in Illinois and is currently in the schematic phase of a Weekend Cottage project in Michigan. She is also working towards LEED certification.
