About

I am a designer with over ten years of combined experience designing interior spaces and educating students about design.  I have a sincere passion for creating innovative, thoughtful, spaces and for sharing my knowledge with students.

As a designer, I have experience designing commercial spaces in the areas of higher education, K-12, hospitality design, retail design, and office design.  I have skills in programming, space planning, concept development, and creating construction documents using AutoCAD and ArchiCAD.  I also have the ability to select and specify materials, furniture and lighting.  In addition, I have created millwork details, reviewed shop drawings, and researched building codes and life safety issues.  I can create beautiful three-dimensional renderings for client presentations using 3D Studio Max Design and Adobe Photoshop.

As an educator, I have over four years of experience teaching at all levels of a four year baccalaureate degree program from introductory fundamentals to upper division studio classes.  In addition,  I have experience teaching introductory design in a two year program.  I also have experience in academic advising and curriculum development.  I have both a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from schools accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
