About

After graduating from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, I set out to learn all aspects of Architecture and Construction. I have worked for several Architectural firms doing everything from custom homes, tract housing, multifamily apartment and condo projects, as well as restaurants, commercial businesses, business parks, public school renovations and new construction, University projects, and high rise podium projects. I was a Project Manager for over 20 years leading teams of drafters to complete design and construction document sets for many types of projects. Responsible for getting planning department approvals, building department permit approvals, DSA approvals for public projects, and coordinate field inspections, construction meetings, Quality Assurance reviews and field solutions/detailing to resolve those little problems that arise during construction. I have over 10 years doing estimates, reviewing estimates, writing and answering RFI's, submittals, and doing or reviewing as-built plans. My expertise was in getting planning and permit approvals, doing (and teaching) project code analysis, contract administration, and have many years doing construction field reviews. I was a licensed General Contractor in Washington State, and still have a General Contractors license in California. I have done several LEED projects in the last few years and have submitted the required forms for these projects to qualify for LEED certification. I am the Go-to-Guy when it needs to get done now. I am an team player who is also capable of being handed anything at any point in the design/build process and can run with it with a minimum of guidance. I am looking for my last job for the next 10 to 20 years.
