About

Gentlemen:

This letter is intended to express interest in joining your firm. The enclosed resume will provide you with an outline of my skills and accomplishments.

They Include:

-Intern Architect/Professional Draftsman experience which includes independent contract work on project assignments and permanent staff with architecture/engineering firms.

-Completed approximately 90% of the Intern Development Program with the goal of becoming a Registered Architect.  Recently completed a comprehensive Architect Registration Exam preparatory program.

-Passed the LEED GA certification exam and currently studying for the LEED AP exam.

-Experience with commercial, educational, retail, hospitality, healthcare and residential buildings.

-Certification in Revit Architecture 2010 through Imaginit Technologies. I continue to master this software utilizing a student copy of Revit Architecture 2013 on my laptop computer.

-Academic preparation includes Bachelor of Architecture, 2003 and Bachelor of Science in Architecture, 2001 Kent State University.

-5.5 years experience producing construction documents for architectural firms.

-Seven years experience in manual drafting prior to completing architectural degree.

I feel my motivation and enthusiasm would be appreciated in your office and I am confident that I would be an asset to your firm.

Due to the economic crisis, I was laid off from Robert P. Madison International in April of 2009. After picking up temporary work with SE Blueprint, in 2011, I was fortunate to be hired as a consultant on the design team of a proposed LEED Platinum historic preservation design for the Oberlin Inn Hotel.

In my last full-time position, I was a drafter for Exacta Land Drafting, a survey company.  I am currently working as a consultant for Fieldstone Architecture & Engineering, a firm who specializes in residential architecture. I am looking for a full-time opportunity to re-enter my chosen field of architecture as the economy recovers. Nearing the end of fulfilling my requirements for the Intern Development Program, I am eager to complete the Architect Registration Exam and become a registered architect.

I look forward to hearing from you. I can be reached on my cell phone at: (216) 269-3517, or you can reach me by email at:  mfecek@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Mark J. Fecek
