About 

I am a landscape designer with a passion for horticulture and a love for teaching children how to grow edible gardens.  My work experience includes the Hamptons, the North Shore of Long Island and the Los Angeles area.  

I am in the process of getting licensed as a landscape architect and have completed Section I and Section II of the LARE.  

Employment

Garden designer for private residences.

Designed and maintained edible gardens for grades K-12.

Pioneered projects for Woolly Pockets edible wall gardens for public schools and charter schools. Assisted in fundraising.

Collaborated with teachers and the autism class of an elementary school and assisted in garden plantings and teaching children how to garden.

Accelerated in the field of residential landscape architecture, with a focus on beach homes and the use of native plants in the landscape, specializing in planting plans and garden design.

Collaborated with Senior Landscape Architect and the principal of the firm.

Prepared conceptual drawings and construction drawings for all projects including LEED projects. Completed site plans, schematic design, elevation sketches, grading and drainage plans, lighting and planting plans, layout plans and construction detail sheets.

Prepared client presentations.

Managed projects during construction and communicated with clients and contractors.

Landscape Architecture. Studies in landscape architecture.

Studies included design studio's, ecology and natural processes, grading and drainage coursework, digital graphics, AutoCad and Adobe creative suite coursework. Studies also include history of Landscape Architecture and a study abroad program.

I studied abroad for one semester in Cinque Terre, Italy and did an independent study on the spirit of place.

Graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Ornamental Horticulture with an emphasis on Landscape Design. I received my Associate in Applied Science in Ornamental Horticulture with final a GPA of 3.9.

Studies included horticultural course work, botany, entomology, soil science, plant identification courses and landscape design courses.
