Saeed Tabrizi

Carmichael, CA, US

I graduated from the University of Tehran (UT), College of Fine Arts, with a Masters of Architecture and Urban Design.  UT had the same tradition as the “Beaux Art de Paris”; it required that undergraduate students work with graduates on their thesis in order to gain valuable trade skills.

While obtaining my master’s degree, I worked as a designer intern for one of the most well-known architectural firms (Seyhoun Architect) in Teheran.  My first design contract prior to my graduation  consisted of building a three stories house in historical part of Kashan.  My design converted and merged Persian traditional spaces with modern functions; 20 years later, it became a nominated candidate for the Agha Khan Architecture Award.

My education and internship at UT were instrumental in my becoming later a motivated architectural planner and designer who had gained, by then, an extensive background in multiple disciplines such as consulting, client representation, planning, design, project management and directing construction projects.   Since then, I have also gained international, professional experience in countries such as Italy, Sierra Leon and Scotland.

After moving to the U.S. since February 2001, I continued my career in architectural design development and construction.  Further more, I enhanced my skills in Revit Architecture and Leed.
