About 

Julie Solomon graduated with her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May of 2011 and is currently working as an intern architect.  

As one of the founding members of the Rensselaer School of Architecture’s Publications Department, she aided in the production of all school publications and archiving.  She acted as the Director of Photography for the department and her photography work was featured in the publication Material Manifestations: Cultural and Material Affects of Shaker Artifacts. 

While in school she was the recipient of the Rensselaer Architecture Design Award for Exceptional Design Ability, the Rensselaer Founder’s Award of Excellence, the Val Carlson ‘52, Architect, AIA, Award, and the Matthew W. Del Gaudio Award for excellence in design.  Her final thesis project “Life in Liquid: A Weightless Biological Architecture” explored the possible transfer of human life to a liquid environment and was nominated for the Harriet R. Peck Prize. 

Software abilities include Revit Architecture and AutoCad Architectural Desktop, Rhino, MicroStation, Adobe Creative Suite, html web design, CNC model fabrication and parametric modeling.
