Architectural designer with strong, mixed practice (architecture & landscape architecture) and theory background. Focused on conceptual design, architectural communicability, and diverse design approaches as an instrument of developing shared culture and disciplinary transparency.
Interested in architectural, design, art direction, creative project management, team leadership and teaching positions.
I was born the daughter of an interior designer and the grand-daughter of a carpenter and home-builder in Joliet, IL and this early exposure to design led me to the pursuit of an architectural education and career beginning in 2002. The architectural obsession has led me to many schools, including Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Illinois - Chicago and Princeton University. Always an endeavor in adventure and a search for intellectual fit, the winding path also led me to many employment experiences from wedding florist, to sales account executive at a trucking company and design assistant at a landscape architecture firm. Recently, I was simultaneously a tour guide in the city of Chicago and a cadet at the architecture studio, Bureau Spectacular. Doubling down on seasonal employment once again, I spent the summer of 2012 sleuthing Princeton's libraries as a research assistant and interning on-site and on the boards for a residential project at Studio Hillier in Princeton, NJ.
I am in my thesis semester, which will complete the second of two years in the Master of Architecture Program at the School of Architecture at Princeton University. I expect to earn my M.Arch and graduate in June 2013.
