I have over twenty years of experience as an Architect, and my work ranges from residential, to

My duties are the preparation and development of design and construction plans, details and sections for concrete and steel structures, buildings, and below grade infrastructures. Read and interpret background materials such as the NYC building codes, concrete and steel manuals, design plans, as-built drawings, and engineering data in order to produce quality design drawings and supporting documentation. Perform all aspects of design work to include, but not limited to: preparation and development of design drawings, i.e. electrical, civil, structural, architectural, transmission using AutoCAD; coordination of design work with other designers, engineers and station personnel; performing fieldwork as required and design support during construction. Working on varies civil, architectural, and transmission design issues associated with substation and generation station (including plumbing, environmental, and drainage concerns) designs.

My responsibilities were the following: plan, design, draw, and estimate layout work for the addition of new facilities to the electric distribution system, the provision of service to new customers and for maintenance of maps and records; evaluate distribution system capacity and provide for load growth; coordinate public improvement, system reinforcement, or new service work to meet service dates; prepare formal work justification for projected capital expenditures; provide support to Operating Department as required under system emergencies.

Responsible for the development of construction documents relating to new construction attached and detached multiple dwelling residential buildings.

Responsible for the development of Builder Paving Plan (BPP) for filing to the Department of Transportation.

Respond to objections issued by the NYC Dept. of Buildings due to audit / stop work order, as well as project DOB filings of full review by DOB plan examiner and self certification with objections.

Collaborate with Metropolitan Transportation Authority (M.T.A.) engineers on numerous projects within the influence of M.T.A. structure to seek building approval.

Work with engineers of The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) main office to expedite any sanitary / storm sewer issues.

Architectural designing liaison between client / contractor and developer / builder.

Perform on-site construction evaluation due to field conditions.

Visit construction sites to evaluate work in progress.

Architectural designing liaison between client / contractor, developer / builder and NYC Dept. of Building plan examiner.

Perform on-site construction evaluation due to field conditions.

Manage change orders due to field conditions, design or engineering changes, inconsistencies with construction documents and vendor drawings, all of which often need immediate attention.
