About

Interior Design is something I've always had my heart set on doing. My current goal is to work for a growing firm that is strongly motivated by team work. I strongly believe in dedication and determination - things might get hard at times but with perseverance, success is just a reach away. Being given the opportunity to work for a firm that will provide me with valuable experience, and expose me to the daily running of an interior design business is something which I very much look forward to. Running a successful interior design business is my ultimate goal! I know I can be a key player on your team, and I would like a given chance to prove that.

At Jonathan Adler Design I was an intern from January to May 2009. I have participated in projects such as the Sesame Street Daycare Centers for a US Naval Base, the new Jonathan Adler showroom space at corporate headquarters, and Jonathan Adler’s 2009 ICFF booth. I collected fabric samples from visiting showrooms, and received and sorted merchandise delivered through the mail. I also assisted with organizing furniture collection and preparation for clients’ presentations. My duties also included space planning furniture stores, as well as custom designing several furniture pieces and lighting pieces which are currently in his collection.

Presently, I am the Visual Manager at Forever 21. As the Visual Manager I help lead the visual team to complete their job duties, by creating a fun and challenging environment. I also maintain a strong partnership with the store managers, and other assistant managers to help service customers and exceed sales goals. As of July 2013, my location is the number one store in the region for highest comp sales due to visual presentation!

In the visual department we execute floor set every 6 - 8 weeks; where we prepare the store for the following season/holiday. This ensures that the company is always current with the latest trends. I assist in creating window and visual merchandise displays within the company guidelines, replenish the sales floor daily with new shipment, make sure the store is compliant with current markdowns, update interior mannequins weekly and ensure the store maintains a customer friendly environment. I also assist in operational tasks such as counting the petty cash and ensuring proper maintenance of the sales floor.
