Engineering Design Manager for the Sowwah Square Abu Dhabi Financial District on Sowwah Island in Abu Dhabi/UAE. Managing a team of Engineers/Architects. Set up a new document control system on site to save time and make work more effective. Responsible for the Infrastructure Information Management as well as for the Architectural Information Management. Managing the team to track and answer RFI's, Surveillance Reports, NCR's, track with Peer reviewer Thornton Tomasetti Chicago on structural and engineering issues, with ESD Chicago for MEP issues, the team Is running and updating all logs. Managing the engineers and architects for coordination on site and coordinating the architectural design and detail drawings between the architects, Goettsch Partners Chicago and Gensler London and the GC OGER Abu Dhabi to satisfaction of client's representative John Buck International. Follow up on Health & Safety requirements on site. Risk/Change Management, operating/managing the Quality Control Team, Crew scheduling, Material coordination, dry layout, mock ups etc. Sowwah Square was a Design-Build project.

Project Director for the Jebel Ali Expo Plaza Project, located next to the new International Jebel Ali Airport Dubai, Schematic Design to DD phase, 4 hotel towers, Pullman/Novotel for Accor Group and Crowne Plaza/Holiday Inn for IHG, 2 podium with BoH and FoH of the hotels, 2 shopping center with mall concourse, basement delivery/storage/technical area, Truck and Bus terminal/station as well as delivery, pick up and drop off zones, plaza design, coordinating with Woods Bagot Sydney, Brisbane and HongKong as well as with sub-consultants In London and China. Managing a team of 70 Architects, financial and architectural responsibility, running the project to client's satisfaction. Project investment US $ 1.8 billion. The new Exhibition City/Expo Plaza will emphasize the new center for trade shows, fairs etc. within the DWTC, Dubai World Trade Center. The project is designed to match the LEED silver/gold requirements.
Project Director for a mixed use development, Mina al Arab, in Ras al Khaimah, the overall investment is about US $ 1.0 billion. Responsible for managing this project In general, directing the team from concept design to tender & construction documentation, all responsibilities and decisions are with the Project Director, reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director ME, Middle East.
Mina Al Arab, a mixed use leisure and holiday beach resort, The development is situated along the beach at Ras Al Khaimah. It consists of 3,500 residential units and a retail core of 40,000m2. The residential element is made up of 388 residential villas and a number of high rise towers. The layout for an Abra taxi service with stations etc. was part of the scope of work. The development contains 11 high class ( 4* & 5*) hotel developments.
