Volunteer Work: One month with the nonprofit Incawasi.org.pe, provided tutoring, nutrition, and care to highly underprivileged children of Cajamarca, Peru

Language Immersion: One month in Toulouse, France improving conversational language skills and three months in Osaka, Japan acquiring a new language through self-study and conversation practice.

Managed a certification team, budgeting, conducted QC, reviewed energy efficiency evaluations using ASHRAE standards, analyzed energy simulations including all building energy consumption, reviewed all credits, over 200 applications reviewed in a fast paced, short term deadline environment

Green Building Assessments + Consulting: Project Manager
Provided support to property managers with LEED building certification including document submission, narrative responses and calculations resulting in LEED Gold Certification of a 1.4 million SqFt building
Managed Green Building Assessments, drafted proposals, budgeting, conducted building on-site analysis to establish an achievable certification target for clients. Assessed multiple facilities for local properties interested in LEED certification under the Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system.

Research & Writing: Contributor, Chapter Leader
Wrote a green building case study as part of a research paper for the Electric Power Research Institute, investigating indoor and outdoor water best management practices and green building rating systems including LEED, BREEAM, and Green Globes. Led a chapter on planning and zoning for the research paper, outlining the case studies’ regulatory framework, drafted a set of recommendations to facilitate improved the building and permitting process.
