About 

I have more than 45 years of professional experience in architectural engineering and construction.  This experience has included design, and drafting of final construction documents for commercial construction projects, including commercial/residential, private, and Public Works.  I served a four-year construction apprenticeship, and I am a licensed General Contractor and Architect in the State of California, LEED AP, with a BD&C specialty, and the Principal owner of Gm & Associates, Architectural Construction Solutions, a Design/Build construction company. I joined Technology Associates as an Architectural Engineer to provide project leadership to the Public Works Division (PWD) at MCB Camp Pendleton in California, in May of 2009. The Public Works department, in March of 2010, requested Parsons to hire me, in order to continue my work here at camp Pendleton, Public Works Office. My selected experience is presented below.

Provided designs, management, and engineering services for multi-story medical office buildings,
general office buildings, retail and other types of commercial buildings, including, Bonita Medical Plaza, Washington Plaza, San Juan Church, and numerous others. Duties included:
• Estimated quantities, reviewed shop drawings and submittals. Answered RFI’s, Etc.
• Compiled project specifications, analyzed for Scope of Work designation.
• Utilized AutoCAD- and Revit (BIM)-format drawings to assemble final construction documents.

Designed and constructed custom homes and Commercial Projects. I supervised all phases of work, including drafting all construction documents (plans). Supervised all phases of commercial construction, Public Works, commercial, and private negotiated work. Performed all duties related to general contracting, as well as designing and drafting of many projects.

The position is an assignment located at the Public Works Division (PWD) at MCB Camp Pendleton, California. The Public Works position title is a “Project Leader”.
Project Leaders are PWD architects or engineers appointed as the Camp Pendleton lead for approved projects, and they interface with end-users to ensure the user’s requirements are included in the planning, design process, and construction. PWD has a technical support staff comprised of many disciplines, including architects and civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers. Project Leaders are responsible to plan and design the project, typically using a contracted architect/engineer or other technical consultants. Involves:
• Developing project documents for approval.
• Managing the design contracting and review process.
• Providing field engineering support.
• Responsibility for “Cradle to Grave” ownership of the project for continuity.
• Coordinating with contracting and construction organizations, including NAVFAC Southwest Division, Facilities Maintenance, and the NAVFAC Field personnel.
• Projects completed: Wounded Warrior Hope & Care/Hq. Complex (First LEED Platinum awarded Project within the Dept. of Defense), 43 Area Armory and Hq. Facility, 53 Area Elect./Comm. Maintenance Facility.

I provided project management and supervision of Design Build Team, architect, engineers, etc. I also provided liaison between owner and Pettit Engineering/Corona Constructors. Duties included:
• Estimated quantities, reviewed shop drawings and submittals. Answered RFI’s, Etc.
• Compiled project specifications, analyzed for Scope of Work designation.
• All Project CPM scheduling and Public Works projects.
• Conducted CMD reviews, supervision of proper form submittals per specs, complete quantity take-offs of all trades, and plan and specification review.
• Conducted Bid Day review of submitted bids for cost and scope as submitted by subcontractors; submitted bids to authorities after review.
• Project Manager for Golden Cheese of California, 50M renovations and additions to Facilities.
• Project Manager for UCR Seismic upgrades.
• Project Manager for Hermosa Beach City Hall and Chino Hills Community Center.
