Current featured projects include the two following DoD/Southwest NAVFAC Design-Build projects:

• Consulted on a $150million U.S. Marine Corps development at Camp Pendleton, CA. The 41 Area project includes three separate sites with 20 buildings and infrastructure. Immediate project responsibilities include Project Architect on a 20,000sf Platoon Headquarters, Armory, high-tech Applied Instruction/Warehouse and Tactical Vehicle Maintenance Shop. On the design side, the project incorporated Revit/BIM technology complete with 3D clash detection. The entire 40-acre campus is currently under construction and it is pre-registered as a LEED v2.2 project. Several prominent command structures will be Certified Gold, but the overall project will be rated Silver.

• Modernization renovations to two historical Spanish Colonial Revival structures located at Naval Base San Diego. Both were originally constructed in the 1940’s and they are being renovated to provide administrative support and high-tech training spaces for the Navy's most advanced 21st century state-of-the-art fleet platform known as the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). The projects combined to total over 100,000sf in area and the construction cost was valued at $20.6million.

Other representative projects include a 14,000sf custom residence, several disaster recovery residences destroyed by local wild fires, a 4-acre hillside residential estate in Jamaica, a master plan for a combined church/senior center/children day care center and three two-story beach area condominiums. All will incorporate integrated renewable energy systems.

Kober Hanssen Mitchell Architects, San Francisco, CA, US, Managing Principal

Responsible for the daily management in the satellite office of a 40 person architectural/interiors firm based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tasks in the San Francisco, California office included conceptual design, supervision of the staff, financial management, maintenance of client relations and implementation of business development strategies. Clients included IBM, Ernst + Young and Sub Zero Distributors.

CDG International, Singapore, SG, Director of Architecture

Directed a 25 person international design and development consulting group which specialized in master planning, retail planning, residential, recreational, and waterfront developments in nine countries throughout Asia. Responsibilities included staff and project management, client development and conceptual design. Representative projects include:

Galleria Tunjungan, Surabaya, Indonesia: A 2.4 million sf mixed-use development for Keppel Land of Singapore. Project includes an eight-story 111,000sm retail podium with two fully integrated class “A” office towers, a 169 unit service apartment and parking for 2,200 automobiles. The design also incorporates an existing Dutch Colonial structure into the street front facade.

Desert Creekwalk, Dubai, UAE: This water front development which is situated along a 2km portion of the Creek will provide 540,000sm of world class leisure, shopping and entertainment. Elements include cultural and science centers, museums, retail stores, floating restaurants, hotels, condos and offices.
