I'm a 17 year veteran of the game industry with a B.A. in Design from UCLA. I originally went into design because I felt it was the best way to apply art aesthetics to the commercial industry as a whole. The idea of logical aesthetics, or a way to break elements down to understand whats appealing about them, was my takeaway.
In this major, I learned typology, photography, product display, drafting, 3d and 2d digital design (photoshop, illustrator) and industrial design techniques and history.
I went into the digital industry at XAP where I designed interactive UI and macromedia director apps for the education industry. From there, I dropped into games.
Games for me, was the one place where all the arts unified into one cohesive experience. It was an amazing place to analyze design and create unique industrial and aesthetic visuals. I did everything from animation, concept art, 3d models, texturing and UI design as an Art Director.
I'm now a 17 year veteran in the game industry looking to return back to my design background. I have done interior design for others as well as my own house and I still have a passion in web, interactive, interior, photography and other design genres.
