I have recently found myself in the position to seek new professional opportunities. Though sad to have to let me go, Mike McElhaney, one of Jackson & McElhaney's two principals, has written a kind letter of recommendation for me and says he is happy to speak on my behalf. I have been at Jackson & McElhaney Architects for the past year, nearly to the date, since I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2011. Though I will sincerely miss working with the JMA team, I cannot help but be excited for what the future might hold!
I am confident that I am a qualified candidate for any architectural position as I work hard, and I have had a diverse background of experiences that have well equipped me with a variety of skills and knowledge. As a designer, I have grown to believe that my best qualities are my enthusiasm and inquisitive nature. I am also a very quick learner; I have worked with a variety of programs including Revit and have worked in all phases of design. One of the many ways in which I have grown considerably this past year is in the ways of creating Construction Documents in AutoCAD and working with teammates on a shared set from start to finish.
