My name is Kourtney Pennycook and I am a proud alumnus of Michigan State University. I enrolled in Michigan State’s CIDA accredited Interior Design program in 2008 and Graduated with Honors in May of 2012. Professors with real world experience facilitate the program, and I was challenged through independent work and team projects requiring active collaboration. During my education, I was able to develop knowledge in design aspects such as, Green Building and LEED concepts and principles, ADA Guidelines, Space Planning Methodology, FF&E Specifications, and Construction Drawings.
I am a hardworking and passionate individual, eager to work as an Interior Designer in the professional industry. Since my graduation this past May, I have become accredited by The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) as a LEED Green Associate. I have also become a Design Associate for Restoration Hardware. Although I have been extremely successful in the short time I have been there, I am eager to start working in the commercial industry and enthusiastic for what it has to offer. Career goals include becoming NCIDQ certified, as well as taking the next steps in becoming LEED AP
