I have recently received a Masters of Arts in Sustainable Design Studies from Cornell University, and additionally hold a Bachelors of Science from Cornell in Design and Environmental Analysis (Interior Design) with a concentration in Architecture. I am currently seeking to utilize my passion for design as part of a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative creative team.
I believe design is a tool to inspire positive social change. Whether to increase user productivity, creativity, connection, health, or comfort, informed design has powerful results. Thus, I aim to use creative problem solving to support user needs as well as shape unique sensory experiences. I also believe that sustainability should not be an afterthought, and is deeply integral to every decision of every project phase. This entails providing the most appropriate design solution with regard for social, cultural, and environmental contexts. Through consideration of these variables, I believe it is possible to lessen the impact of today’s commercial interiors to achieve imaginative, yet sustainable results. My interests span many areas of design, in which I seek to apply critical thinking skills to tackle a variety of design challenges.
