I am a recent graduate having earned my Master's Degree from the University of Kansas. I have specialized in Design-Build projects including my most recent project, an education building built for Johnson County Community College and completed in June 2012. I am looking for employment as an entry-level architect while aiming for eventual certification.

Studio 804 involved the completion of a building from the beginning of architectural design to the end of construction as a Design/Build studio. My duties and work include schematic design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, construction labor, software and hardware troubleshooting, communications, and contracting. I specialized in site and civil design of the building, but the building as a whole was a collaborative process which included everyone.

The architecture program at the University of Kansas emphasizes hand-on design through 1st year model making and full-scale light construction, to a semester-long design/build studio, and finally the graduate-level Studio 804, which I joined for the 2011-2012 year.
