New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, New Orleans, LA, US, ABWK Project Manager + Case Manager

Developed and managed A Brush with Kindness, an exterior home preservation service that offers painting, landscaping, and minor repair services for homeowners in need. Supervised outreach efforts and coordinated the completion of projects using sub contractors and volunteer labor. Also worked as a Case Manager for the Chinese Drywall remediation process. Tasks included; coordinating the relocation of families, documenting the pre-remediation condition of homes and supervising the demolition and reconstruction of homes.

Responsible for managing, training and motivating volunteers on residential construction sites. In charge of coordinating construction work and maintaining construction schedules.

Assisted in the planning and delivery of community design workshops. Responsible for documenting information gathered during community workshops. Prepared presentation documents for clients. Also participated in the construction of multiple small scale design/build projects. Created many of the graphic layouts used for the Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Community Workshops and Presentations. Worked on the construction of the award winning St Joseph Rebuild Center in New Orleans.

Responsible for creating an archive system for past project drawings. Assisted in creating architectural drawings and responsible for taking as well as documenting site measurements. Aided in the design of residential homes. Researched and documented information needed for LEED certification of industrial building that was converted into the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
