To give some background on myself, I graduated from the College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2010. During this time, I was able to gain valuable architectural and construction management experience in the federal sector while working with the US General Services Administration as a Student Trainee Architect. While I interned at GSA, I learned how to make important design and financial decisions that helped progress the specific project at hand. I also learned how to deal with clients and contractors and their last minute changes. Following graduation, I have worked as a consultant and designer on various projects which incorporated my architectural design and planning experience. I recently worked for a Gary Kliesch Associates and Architects in Rutherford, NJ. During my time at GKA, I experienced many aspects of the field that can only be learned under a licensed architect in a professional firm. GKA being a small private firm, I was able to learn not just the architectural side of the field but also the MEP, which was all done in-house. Having close proximity to many areas of the project, I was able to get hands on experience with many sides of the project. I am also pursuing a Masters of Architecture in the near future.
I believe my architectural experience is further balanced with my proficiency in a multitude of design software packages and technologies, including AutoCAD and BIM, and in an array of graphic design applications. If you would like additional information or would like to discuss any of the above in person, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
