Alexis graduated with her B.A. in Architecture from Columbia in May '11. After graduation she moved to Newport, RI to work with Tess Dempsey, a high-end interiors and product designer, on a special addition Hinckley '48 motor yacht and accompanying product line. This job, while being both spatially and technically challenging, also brought exposure to a new world of maritime design and materiality. In March Alexis began working a Junior architect at Neville Gerald Architects, also based in Newport. Here she performed site surveys, computer drafting, 3D computer modeling, spec sheets, historical documentation, and client presentations. Alexis is currently living back in New York working as a free-lance drafter and seeking a full or part-time postion in an architecture or design firm.
