My name is Joshua Thomasson and I am an Associate at LS3P in Wilmington, NC. I may have grown up in the small town of Danville, VA, but I have been fortunate enough to travel the world to study architecture and it's relationship with its environment and culture.
Since starting my architectural career at LS3P, I have worked on many unique project types, ranging from commercial, educational, civic, multi-family and healthcare. I am a member of the firms Green Competency Board where our main focus is keep the firm updated on advancements in green architectural practices and assist with any questions involving sustainability. I was named an associate with the firm in 2015.
I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2015, where I had an amazing opportunity to explore different building programs that allowed me to focus on the development of site and building materiality. I have used a wide range of media to explore and develop these architectural elements in my projects, ranging from watercolor to BIM modeling and rendering. I challenge programs by creating usable civic space to offer something to the community as well as the occupants. This process has helped me to develop a strong attention to detail and strive to exceed expectations in my work.
