About

Hugo strives to capture moments of the universal human experience in time and space through both design and photography. He believes that design is not just about aesthetics, but about creating holistic solutions that can enhance quality of life. Each project is an opportunity for experimentation, to address cultural, socio-economic and ecological issues, through an iterative process of improvisations and adaptations

Hugo is currently finishing his final year of his Bachelors degree at the Ryerson School of Interior Design. His thesis explores a new architectural agenda of decomposable architecture, responding to issues of urban land shortage and excessive property values.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Toronto, Hugo has previously worked in the design offices of Aedas, ZAS, and Bruce Mau Design.
