I graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 2009. My first position out of school was with a small design firm called Axi:Ome. There I served as a designer on a few really great projects, including a new building for St Louis Public Radio, the local affiliate of NPR, currently under construction. I was also on the design team for a gallery installation titled Metabolic City, featuring work by renowned designers such as Archigram and the Metabolists. When the work flow began to slow down, I began working for another small start-up firm in the area. I am currently active in IDP, and plan on beginning my Architect Registration Examinations in the near future.

In the fall semester of 2009, I was offered a lecturer position in the College and Graduate School of Architecture at Washington University in St Louis, where I continue to teach an array of courses, ranging from visualization to building systems. I have found this to be a great transition between the academic and professional environments. My role as instructor has helped to develope my ability to analize and critique disign more thoroughly. This spring marks my 6th semester with Washington University, and while I greatly appreciate the opportunity and experience I have gained by working in academia, I am reminded that my passion lies in design, rather than education. Therefor I am currently looking to move away from my part-time role as lecturer, to pursue a future in the practice of architecture.

I currently have commitments at Washington University until June. At that time I am planning to relocate to the Seattle area.
