In my role as architectural fellow, I was tasked with working within rural Western North Carolina on several social, environmental, economic, and design centered projects. The work included the drafting of construction documents for 17,000 sq. ft. cultural arts center ($1,000,000 budget); leading community meetings, project marketing, non-profit coordination, and grassroots development; securing over $100,000 through grant writing; and coordinating rehabilitation projects in adherence with Dept. of Interior standards for historic buildings (including documentation and design review).
