I was raised in the illuminated valley of Las Vegas. With a lifelong passion for art, I became interested in design after receiving a scholarship to study architecture in Turin, Italy. There I learned the symbiotic relationship a building must share with its site and climate. Accepted to the Rhode Island School of Design with a fellowship, I seek to combine my artistic intuition with a pragmatic design sense to play a lead role in the field of architecture.
Architecture, as I see it, is the result of an obsessive process to sensibly craft space. It requires a mental dexterity which is both calculative and intuitive. The architect must articulate questions, which leads to more questions, ad infinitum. It is a rewarding discipline as it provides opportunities to find innovate solutions to complex problems. While software has increased our technical precision, nothing compares to the realization of an idea.
