We work on various projects in and around the New York City area. Our primary focus is residential design, spanning from loft renovations to new builds.
In an exciting opportunity to expand our clientele, LUFT Architects has acquired an exciting artist's live/work studio in Brooklyn. Through establishing such a relationship with our client, we have been able to expand into generating design work directly related to his work, pushing the definition of the role of the architect.
Nikipedia, Boulder, CO, US, Graphic Artist
I have worked with Nikipedia and IFC to develop interior and exterior graphic branding for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 South by Southwest Music Festival IFC Crossroads House held in Austin, Texas annually.
My role includes generating graphic branding for exterior and interior application. This also includes creating a 3-dimensional model of the space from which I render the multiple lounges throughout the venue for client approval.
Meshberg Group, Brooklyn, NY, US, Architectural Intern
I work alongside the head and junior architect to complete 2-dimensional, CAD drawings for final presentation, create photo-realistic renderings of our projects, and am fully involved in the research and conceptual design process we follow for every project. We do frequent site visits pre-construction to fully verify all vital site conditions, and during construction to verify that all details are being successfully carried out. Additional work in the office includes helping to organize the office's website.
Pyatt Studio, Boulder, CO, US, Independent Study
Working through construction documents for town homes designed in the design/build studio in Fall 2009 at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Work in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity to move forward with the home design, as it is intended to be built in north Boulder in 2011.
CYE Research and Design Center, Boulder, CO, US, Design and Research Intern
Transcribed interviews, aided in community projects such as teaching accessibility to elementary school children, researched youth master plans nation-wide, helped establish garden-based curricula study chart, etc.
