Dear Mr. or Ms. Hiring Director,
I was very pleased to discover that your company is looking for an interior designer. I believe my experience, skills, and design vision are a great match to your requirements which would enable me to make a strong contribution to your company.
With developed knowledge and an excellent eye for detail I try to incorporate the clients’ wishes and tastes in residential and commercial Projects. My priority is to listen to a client and establish criteria that the client is comfortable with.
Upon getting to know the individual characteristics exclusive to each space and client, I approach every project with new inspiration and vision and provide a complete display of services to bring that vision to life. I balance this infinite creative prospective, with a firm understanding of budget, timetables, and most importantly, client’s personal style and comfort. After a thorough consultation, I plan special space requirements; select colors, fabrics, furniture and art; order materials and supervise progress - creating a timeless environment. Throughout the entire process, from initial discussions to the finishing touches, I assure excellent professional performance.
I am a creative and determined problem-solver. Tastes in style can change rapidly so I stay focused and well-read, open to new ideas and influences, and quick to react to shifting trends. I attended interior design seminars about space planning, environmental design, product design and interiors, mixing antiques with contemporary objects, color and texture, and kitchen and bath design. In addition, I’ve done external research on launching the project including interior and administrative details, which I’ve put to work in projects I worked on.
I began my career by designing high end modern and traditional Hampton’s houses working as an Interior Designer at the Michael Frank Building Co. which builds the houses in the Hamptons. I am involved in exterior design of the houses as well as interior floor plan layouts and in charge selecting color schemes, lighting, finishes, bathrooms and kitchen design. New houses that I was involved in building got sold as soon as construction was complete. In addition, illustrations of the houses I worked on with Michael Frank Building Co will be published in the new 2012 edition of the book HouseHampton 21 Houses for the 21st Century by Papageorge Prestige Photomedia Corp.
In my position at Dan Ionescu Architects I worked as an Interior Designer. At DIA I was involved in various residential and commercial projects based in NYC and overseas. My responsibilities at DIA included full interior design scope of services: design phase, specification and fabrication document phase, purchasing phase, market and administration phases.
I’d like to put my skills and vision to work as an interior designer for your company. I’ve enclosed my resume and would be happy to provide any further information you might need, such as a portfolio of my work and references. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Elena Bona
